Ray’s Place’s Community Garden is free to our community and neighbors! Whether you’ve got a ‘green thumb’ or just want to learn about planting, growing, and eating, we’d love to have you join us. We meet regularly to take care of the garden. Our garden is also used in our literacy programs to teach kids about growing healthy food.
We partner with Recycle Bicycle to host once a month bike rides to and from Fort Hunter on the Green Belt. Any bike speed, experience level, or ride is welcome. We also have kids’ and adults’ bikes to share if you need one to join us. This year our rides are on 5/16, 6/13, 7/11, 8/15, 9/12.
Tuesday Reading Programs:
Every Tuesday night this summer, starting June 14th, we offer literacy programs and English reading development support at Ray’s. From 5-7 we offer support, reading, and snacks; sign up here.
Summer Literacy Camps:
Summer reading camps are free to our neighbors and families; sign up your student in Grades 1 to finished Grade 5 for a summer reading camp. Camps are 8am-12pm during July 26-30 (Week 1) and August 2-6 (Week 2). Sign up here.
We hope to launch some yoga programs in our open air garage space. Message us to get involved or to help us get started!
